BMB-101: Biophysical Chemistry
(BMB-101)

BMB-101 is delivered as a face-to-face course, and covers fundamental concepts of physical chemistry and their application to understanding the behavior of biological systems. It is aimed at providing the student with an appreciation for the basic laws of thermodynamics, biochemical equilibrium, reaction rates and kinetics in biological reactions, buffering against pH change in biological systems, maintenance of blood and body fluids pH, intermolecular forces to understand properties of liquids and molecular spectroscopy.
